www.kayak.com lets you compare about 5 different travel programs for the cheapest flight. I use it to book all my trips! Also, since you're booking last minute, you should try www.lastminutedeals.com. They don't always have the dates and times you need, but you can occasionally find a great deal if you get lucky.

If you can get a flight for around $700, you should buy it asap if you can afford it. You're not going to find anything cheaper that time of year.
2 :
This trip is about 6000 miles, each way. So, if you're talking about $700 for a one-way trip, that's about 11.7 cents per mile. Airlines measure their cost in "CASM", which is how much it costs them to fly the plane, per seat, per mile. Delta's CASM for last quarter, for instance, was 12.72 cents. So in other words, it's quite likely that if you buy that ticket, the airline will not even make any profit from that. Therefore you really can't expect prices to go *lower*. So if you can afford it, buy it. If you can't afford it, sorry, but you're not going to find anything cheaper.

The flight will be 5 to 5 and a half hours. On the return you will catch a tail wind that will shorten the flight by about a half hour. The drive from San Diego to Palm Springs is about 4 and a half to five hours depending on traffic and the route you take. Is it necessary to fly in to San Diego? If you fly in to John Wayne Airport (Orange County) you can be in PS in 2 hours, but the flight time will be about the same.

You need government issued ID. A passport or a your green card will do fine.
2 :
Any one of: A driver's license A state issued non-driver ID card Passport Those would each be sufficient. A social security card is useless for that purpose. A green card would also work. This is the official list of acceptable ID: = = = = = = = * U.S. passport * U.S. passport card * DHS "Trusted Traveler" cards (NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST) * U.S. Military ID (active duty or retired military and their dependents, and DOD civilians) * Permanent Resident Card * Border Crossing Card * DHS-designated enhanced driver's license * Drivers Licenses or other state photo identity cards issued by Department of Motor Vehicles (or equivalent) that meets REAL ID benchmarks (All states are currently in compliance) * A Native American Tribal Photo ID * An airline or airport-issued ID (if issued under a TSA-approved security plan) * A foreign government-issued passport * Canadian provincial driver's license or Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) card * Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Non-US/Canadian citizens are not required to carry their passports if they have documents issued by the U.S. government such as Permanent Resident Cards. Can I not continue on my connecting flight
Can I not continue on my connecting flight?
I am trying to find a flight from San Diego to Newark one way. The best I have found for my dates is $300. However, there is a flight on Continental from San Diego to Philadelpia with a connection in Newark for only $90! Can I just get off at Newark and not continue on the flight? The only issue I can think of is that I would have to carry everything on as if I check in anything, they will be tagged for Philly. Is there anything else I am overlooking?

You should be able to get off in Newark, along with your luggage. Call the airline and ask the question.
2 :
well.....u may.... When you have booked a ticket, it means you will complete the whole journey.....but still can... and if you want to get of on the halfway through, pls contact continental for further queries.
3 :
is this round trip or one way? if round trip your return reservations will be canceled and sometimes if You don't check in for the connecting flight some airline alert the police or page you on the PA system as they might think you got lost
4 :
Well here is the thing... Even though its considered an illegal airline ticketing policy-- The airline cant make you take the rest of your connection. And there is nothing they will do about it if you dont get on the plane. However, they WILL check your bags all the way through. You will want to use a carry-on bag so you dont have any issues. Beware of one thing, any other flights you have on this ticket after the connection, will be cancelled as well. So make sure it is indeed a one way ticket.

You don't even get up to cruising altitude. It's around 20 minutes. Do they even have that route any more?
2 :
Between 45 and 59 minutes for the 108 miles. 26 flights per day (American Eagle, Skywest). http://www.kayak.com â—‹â– â—‹â– â—‹ Added: The question asked was about the flight time; some idiots here think it is in their command to decide what people should or should not do. Thanks for the thumbs dowm for an answer which just has provided what was asked for. All other answerers have just provided their own inpressions. It is really a pity that these type of "comments" are applied more and more on this platform, especially by some "so called" [trolling] top contributors.
3 :
It's only about 100 miles. You'll spend more time on the tarmac waiting to take off and land that the flight will take. It will also be expensive compared to the Amtrak "Pacific Surfliner" which takes 2 hours and gives you a scenically beautiful, and cheaper, journey along the California coastline.
4 :
It's a very short flight, but the landing in San Diego is one of the scariest anywhere. The airport is right on the edge of downtown, next to I-5. And no matter from which direction you're coming, the plane will fly into the airport from the east, over the city, next to the skyscrapers downtown. If you know San Diego geography at all, you look out and see that you're just about at even height with what used to be the old El Cortez Hotel, maybe 13 or 15 stories tall, and descending --- but you're still over a mile from the airport. Here you are, maybe 150 feet or so above ground, and steadily descending, and you've still got a mile to go! Finally, you swoop in over I-5, at just above power line height, and touch down. Believe me, even if you don't drink, you head straight for a bar after that landing! The only scarier place I know of in which to land is Juneau, Alaska. Don't get me started talking about THAT airport!

Visiting San Diego from England
Visiting San Diego from England...?
Hi! I have booked a flight to San Diego in September, i'll be there for 7 days. Does anyone know a good hotel in San Diego? I would like it to be fairly close to the airport as I would be getting taxis to and from the airport, but also fairly close to the beaches. I can afford up to about $120 a night... Any ideas? Thanks!

I think you'd want to take the tram/light rail or a bus out of the airport to San Diego proper, and from the downtown area, you can continue on the rail around town. There's no reason to limit yourself to the airport area for your hotel- you'd only have to trek back each day. The visitor's site has hotel and transport info- there are hundreds of hotels in the area.
4 :
There are not many decent Hotels right next to the Airport. You should look for Hotels in the Downtown area. In Downtown you can look for them around Convention Center/Gaslamp Quarter. This will get you about 5 minutes from the Airport and right next to the Bay. For actual beaches you will be about 15 minutes away. Some hotels will have shuttles from the airport especially in the Downtown area. If you get one in the Gaslamp Quarter area you will be near the Trolly which is a light rail system that will get you to several points in San Diego. For the beach you can either take a bus or taxi.

San Diego To Seattle. Cheapest ticket
San Diego To Seattle. Cheapest ticket?
I will be traveling to Seattle, WA from San Diego, CA on August 9-15 I would prefer nonstop flight and roundtrip. I've looked on the sites that I know of, ex- alaskaair, delta, southwest, jetblue. etc etc but their prices are wayy too high. im on a low budget here.. haha. looking for a flight around 200-300.. no more than 370$$ including tax and all that. OH and is it really true that if you purchase a ticket on a Tuesday, it's WAYYYY cheaper? 10points for someone who can get me the CHEAPEST airline ticket for a nonstop flight to San Diego- Seattle AUGUST 9-AUGUST 15. thanks guys!

Southwest is usually the cheapest out there. They have a tool on their online booking site that will let you know which days are cheaper. You do need to book 14 days in advance usually to get the cheapest rates.
2 :
I'm actually been looking at booking a ticket from cali to alaska recently and it's been my experince that booking on days like tuesday and wed and choosing economic cabin + ''red eye'' flights (early early morning and overnight flights) it's much less expensive. i've had my best luck with cheaptickets.com and expedia.com. good luck!
3 :
try expedia.com you need to book your flight a month early to get that rate. Now you'll have to fly red eye or stand by. yes, Tues and wed are cheapest.
4 :
Do a search on Kayak engine. It will check all the airlines and all the major travel sites and return the lowest price. All with one click of the mouse. http://www.socalthemeparks.com/cheap-flights.html
5 :
Unfortunately all I'm finding is the $400-$500 range. My buddy and his wife just flew up from San Diego the last week of July and we booked their tickets in May and it cost $420 each on Virgin America. It's summer time though, so airline prices get a little higher. And yes flying out on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday is almost always cheaper. Also the time of the year will affect the price as well. Sorry I couldn't help, looks like you'll have to spend a little more than you want though.
6 :
The issue would be your request for a non-stop which limits some of the better fare options such as US Airways which has fares with connecting flights as low as $79 one way! One airline to check however for cheap nonstops would be Virgin America. Good Luck!

How early should I arrive at an airport for a Southwest flight
How early should I arrive at an airport for a Southwest flight?
I will be attending UCSD for college, and I'm going to book my flight from San Diego to San Francisco. I only have 2 hours and 15 mins in between my last final exam to when the plane takes off. I need to know how early I should arrive at the airport so that I can plan the time I need to spend on the road to get to the SD airport. Your answers are greatly appreciated! Thanks

2-3hrs. 1:45 the earliest
2 :
Two hours before the flight is what is recommended for a domestic flight. If you check in online, you could get away with arriving later, but at least an hour or more before your flight to be safe. http://www.southwest.com/flight/retrieveCheckinDoc.html
3 :
2 hours sometime the lines for southwest take a hour just to get TO secuirty-not THOUGH just to get up tp Security... you better book a later flight
4 :
You should arrive at least 2 hours before your flight departs because you never know how long the line in security will be. Also if you don't check-in online, you will have to wait to check-in at the kiosk and drop off any checked luggage. Also you do not know how traffic will be that day. Also know that gates can close 20-30 minutes before the flight departs so you really have less than 2 hours. I suggest you either think about rescheduling your flight or study really hard so you can finish your exam early and get to the airport as fast as you can.
5 :
It really depends on the time of the year (holidays and such) and time of the day. I personally usually get there about hour and a half before hand with no problem (usually with 45 minutes to sit around and wait for boarding), even on a day that was really busy at the airport. But definitely leave cushion time especially if this is going to be your first flight. It'll make you less nervous! Also, finals are 3 months off. You have PLENTY of time to book your flight. P.S. Don't forget about UCSD's free holiday airport shuttle! Idk when your final is, but check out their schedule when it becomes available! (see link below)

I live in Italy and from Genoa or Milan is too long to travel for that city?

That's a long flight, but not too long if you are a normal healthy person. If you've got knee or leg issues, take a ship!
2 :
That would be a very long flight probably more than 12 hours air time. If this isn't a problem then go ahead, but if 12 hours seems a little too long to do at once think about maybe staying somewhere for a day or two like New York to take a break from flying then fly again on to San Diego.
3 :
It is a long flight. However, there are no longer any flights between San Diego and Europe (British Airways stopped flying here after September 11th). So you will definitely have to stop somewhere in the Eastern US and change planes. Alitalia flies from Italy to several cities in the Eastern US - Boston, Chicago, Miami, Newark and New York (JFK). There are no non-stop flights from Miami to San Diego, and there are only two flights a day between Boston and San Diego. So the best places to stop would be Chicago, Newark or JFK. Also, several US airlines (Delta, Continental, and USAirways) fly between Milan and the East Coast.
4 :
You might have lay-overs, that will be the longest part of it. If your going to fly internationally. It is most likely going to be a long flight. But trust me, TOTALLY worth it. Just went a week ago, and miss it already. Just take some good books and read on the plane. Also knitting is fun, I read for the first flight- then read in the second. We had two lay-overs. One in chicago for 2 hours. That was bad. But it's worth it. Happy traveling!

Call the carrier and find out. They are restricted only from telling you if a specific individual was on a flight, However, flight information is already in the public domain, so its not restricted. You can search newspapers in the local public library that list flight schedules.
2 :
call the terminal they can only give out info 24 hrs before flights. But as mAC flights go they are not a sure thing and are subject to cancel or change and dont forget that the number of seats available are not guaranteed.

When you buy a ticket your itinerary should have the exact time from gate to gate....but I am guessing about 7 hours, that is how long it took for me flying from Washington DC to LA and that is about the same distance as Tampa to San Diego. So doing the math, that would put you in San Diego around noon (12 pm).

Can you wait overnight in San Diego Airport for a flight
Can you wait overnight in San Diego Airport for a flight?
My flight is at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday. I don't have money to stay in a hotel. Will they let me check-in at around 11:30 Friday night and stay in the airport until my flight leaves the following morning?

They won't let you check in the day before, so you won't be able to go into the secure area for the night. I have stayed overnight in an airport in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami because of my flight schedule. They never lock the doors in airports, but it is usually pretty empty and everything closed. Don't expect to sleep, they play those announcements all night long!
2 :
You will be able to stay in the main terminal area all night if you wish. Since you are arriving at 11:30 p.m, then just hang out in the gate area. There are usually flights arriving all throughout the night in San Diego, so the airport police usually don't mess with you, especially if you have a boarding pass for a flight in the morning. There may or may not be anything open at that hour. Though you should be allowed to hang out all night, food places close around midnight. You won't be able to sleep though. Automated announcements, janitors, and arriving customers will keep you up all night. I recently had the same experience in Seattle Tacoma Intl. and it wasn't a fun experience.
3 :
No. The place where you check in closes at night and opens back up at about 6 AM. Even if it was open, they still would not let you do that anyways.
4 :
I'm from San Diego and once was stuck at Lindberg Field between flights - it's a boring airport! If you're short on cash for a hotel, you could catch the bus that goes into Downtown (about 3Km distance) and maybe find a room at the YMCA near Broadway and 5th(?) streets; also the Greyhound Terminal is near there, they may have comfier seats than the airport. There are a few food joints open that time of night (try the Gaslamp Quarter). If by chance you are military, the nearby Marine base (MCRD) (about 4Km distance) might have room for one night. Good Luck!

Cheap roundtrip flight from Cincinnati to San Diego
Cheap roundtrip flight from Cincinnati to San Diego....?
Hi. I'm 17 and I'm planning to go to San Diego, CA, at least 2 weeks from now, and stay for about 2 weeks. I live in Cincinnati, OH. I'm looking for a cheap roundtrip flight.... I only need a flight though, not a hotel or anything else. I'll give 10 points to whoever can find a cheap one that I like the most. Thanks. =D

You should find a reputable travel agent who can back you up if anything should happen during the trip. Anything can happen. A travel agent also wants to keep you happy, so they will search for the lowest rates that they can. When you go, ask the agent to perform the WPNI action code after stating the dates and place you want to go, because that finds the bargain deals. Also, she should know this, but tell her to also perform the WPNCB. For each of these codes, there must be an asterisk for it. This is if she/he is working out of the Sabre System. Good luck!
2 :
Cheapest is usually to fly out of Dayton, Louisville, or Columbus. Cheapest is Skybus out of Columbus for as little as $75 oneway depending on the day you travel. http://www.skybus.com/ChooseFlights.aspx

A few that you might want to try: www.orbitz.com www.expedia.com www.travelocity.com www.aaa.com www.contiki.com Avoid ststravel.com! Though it is marketed toward students and school faculty members (if this is applicable to you), I've been to that site looking for airfare from MA and RI to Brazil, and it gave the HIGHEST prices for each flight (and the worst times of the day to travel)! The same thing happened when I compared flights from MA and RI to KY. I had the BEST luck with Expedia. It was the easiest site to navigate, had the best flight times, and the prices were great. Fortunately, I used Frequent Flyer Miles for my trip, but I still look for the lowest prices because they take that into account when depleting miles upon bookings.
4 :
www.wyatttravels.com depending on your travel times you can find specials. If you need help go to wfrwyatttravels@sbcglobal.net
5 :
Try www.jetblue.com - they have consistently low prices and offer Directv on most flights. I think they offer a direct flight from San Diego to JFK. What can be better than being able to watch real television while on a long trip? I've noticed that some of the big travel sites are charging more fees now so I've found that it's easier to book through individual airline's websites.
6 :
For me, its cheapoair.com I have always find the fares cheap in compare to others ... you can try them....I have used them many times and I am really happy with them.. all the best...

The shortest trip duration from San Diego (SAN) to Cape Town (CPT) is 25 hours and 10 minutes. All departure and arrival times are local. United Airlines flight UA226 departing San Diego (SAN) at 8:00 in the morning and arrive at Washington Dulles airport (IAD) at 15:39 for total flight time of 4 hours and 39 minutes. You'll have 1 hour and 41 minutes on the ground at IAD, then South African Airways flight SA208 departs IAD at 17:20. The flight will arrive in Johannesburg (JNB) at 15:30 next day for a total flight time of 15 hours and 10 minutes. You will be on the ground at JNB for 1 hour and 30 minutes. For your last leg (JNB - CPT), South African Airways flight SA 357 departs JNB at 17:00 and arrive in Cape Town (CPT) at 19:10 for total flight time of 2 hours and 10 minutes. For San Diego to Johannesburg, your total trip time is 21 hours and 30 minutes. The details for this trip is the same as above but just eliminate the JNB to CPT leg. There are other options (i.e. - if you are American Airlines frequent flyer, you might want to use American & British Airways, or use SkyTeam alliance if you have Delta, Continental or Northwest). Hope this helps you. Have a great trip.

Every airline has different cities where they make their stop overs. It would be too congested if they all stopped at the same airport and other cities wouldn't have service.

Most airlines have hubs that they fly out of, thus making passengers make connections at those hubs. In a search for flights between Tampa and San Diego, some layover cities included (with airline): Houston (Continental) Dallas (American) Phoenix (US Airways) Los Angeles (Northwest) Detroit (Northwest) Atlanta (Delta) Salt Lake City (Delta) Denver (Frontier, United) Chicago (United) Washington DC (United) Charlotte (US Airways) Philadelphia (US Airways)

Geeze.. its only 100 miles. Just drive it, or take a train. Noth worth the hassel of dealing with the airports these days for a trip that short.

Know where I can find flights from San Diego to Los Angeles?
I've been looking for direct flights from San Diego to Los Angeles for the past week, and I can't seem to find any!! They all have tonz of stops, and cost around 800!!! If you find any can u let me know?? either from San Diego to LAX or from San Diego to Burbank international???

Why don't you drive or take the greyhound bus? It's only about two hours.
2 :
SkyWest and American Eagle both have direct flights between these cities, and they are very short flights (about 20 minutes). By car, up to five hours is a more typical estimate for SAN-LAX than two hours. Traffic has to really be light to make it in just two hours. Even Google Maps says three hours, and it usually underestimates driving times.
3 :
My guess is that they charge a premium price for SAN to LAX non-stop because they want those seats available for connecting flights for people going from San Diego to destinations beyond Los Angeles. Your most cost effective choices would be bus or train. The time spent messing with security and boarding ahead of departure time is already about half your bus trip. If you just like to fly, then those flights from SAN to LAX via SFO will give you plenty of that for your money.
4 :
did you know you can take amtrak right to burbank airport direclty? yep have station right outside the airport.. cost is about 25 or 30.00 flying between san diego to los angeles isnt cost effective for the ailine (the flight too short)so thats why they charge so much (Ps burbank isnt a internaional airport its called bop hope airport
5 :

Where can I find $300 flights to San Diego
Where can I find $300 flights to San Diego?
I'm going to visit my sister in San Diego for a week. I am 12 years old and my 8-year-old brother is coming with me. If we do go, we will have to leave on 4/17/10, and return on 4/24/10. I am unable to find $300 tickets that have flights that leave on that date. Can anyone help me? I'm really sorry. I'm coming from Hartford Connecticut. [Bradley INTL Airport]

Well, since you do not state where you are leaving from, there is not much that anyone can do for you. Look on the sites for Southwest and Jetblue. You have probably left it too late to get a good price.
3 :
Help us help you with your question you fail to say where you are coming from that makes your question impossible to answer since we don't know where you are coming from and we cant contact via email because you don't allow it, so would please (pretty please edit your question and tell us where you are starting from... else we can only guess./suggested some idea you might want to try southwest as they tend to have lowest fare but if you are coming from Lax then that wont be option (see what i mean?)
4 :
Hi, Since you didn't specify where you are flying from I can't give you exact numbers. However, you can visit KAYAK.COM to find really good airfare. Happy Travels! Christina
5 :
I would check out JetBlue or American flying out of JFK in New York City. You can also see if JetBlue has anything out of Boston as well. Southwest is another option though you may have to make a couple of connections.

See if American, United, Delta or Continental Airlines has anything. American has a lot of flights to San Juan but I don't know if it would be under $500.
2 :
Well, it depends entirely on which days your leaving and returning. Try Bing Travel, as it is very good at searching flight and travel deals. I searched from SJU to SAN on dates 8/12 to 8/25, and the price begins at around $477. SJU to LAX on those same dates has prices starting at $360. I've added the links below so that you can refine your search.

Why are flights from San Diego/LAX to Nashville so expensive
Why are flights from San Diego/LAX to Nashville so expensive?
I was looking at flights from SD/LA to Nashville and I'm getting results of over $600 round trip! Southwest has flights of $400 one way!! I can fly to Europe for less than I can fly domestically within the US. Is there simply little demand for SD/LA to Nashville flights?
Air Travel - 2 Answers

Obviously yes.
2 :
There can be multiple reasons why it is so expensive. Are you flying out during the summer months? Summer travel usually has higher ticket prices because lots of people tend to travel since school is out. Also if you do not buy your ticket at least 14 days before you travel, sometimes the price goes up a lot. See if http://www.priceline.com has anything.

Well, you need to look on the travel websites, such as www.Expedia.com. Look also on Southwest and JetBlue's website. But I don't think you will get a flight this cheap.
2 :
You won't be able to get anything for under $100. The cheapest I saw was $250 with taxes. Try: www.hotwire.com www.priceline.com www.cheapoair.com www.orbitz.com www.kayak.com Good luck!

when are you departing? check out imaginedeals.com for the quote- sign up as a preferred customer (its totally free to sign up) to get the best deals

Usually United Express or American Eagle fly this route so you can look on the websites of United and American. You can also see if Virgin America operates a flight between the 2 cities.

My boyfriend is flying to san diego and the flight is 7 hrs and 13 min long. Is that the total time he will be?
on the actual plane or does include the layovers also. Also how many layovers will therre be approximately?? on the plane or is that the time including the layovers? He will be flying out of BWI airport.
Air Travel - 4 Answers
Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions :
1 :
Depends where he is starting from!
2 :
lol. where is he flying from! I'm in London, so CA would be 12-14 hours away with a layover!
3 :
Typically, the itinerary is from when the plane pulls out of BWI to when it lands in San Diego. His itinerary will have departure and arrival times on it (all times local).
4 :
If he's flying out of BWI and going to San Diego then the 7hrs 13mins most likely includes layovers, or means he is going well out of his way. 5hrs to 5hrs 30mins is a typical New York to Los Angeles flight time.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

What's the best flight/airline from San Diego to Sao Paulo (GRU) in economy?
I'm a United FF and they fly through LAX with Varig or ORD and IAD with UAL. I am not a Permier flyer so there is no guarantee I will get Economy Plus. Varig gets pretty bad reviews though. Of course you know that service out of SAN isn't an option and you will have to go to LAX or some other airport already. If you use your FF miles on UA/Skywest to go to LAX, you can connect to LAN Peru or Varig. Varig is the only airline with nonstop servie to Sao Paulo from Los Angeles. LAN Peru offers direct service (same plane service with one stop enroute). Only Varig is a member of your FF program though (if you care about the credit). Comfortable Flight to Australia from San Diego
Comfortable Flight to Australia from San Diego?
How long is the flight, also how can i be more comfortable

1 :
There are no non-stops from San Diego to Sydney, Australia. You would have to go to either Los Angeles or San Francisco. The flight from Los Angeles would take about 14 1/2 hours. The best way to be more comfortable is to buy a better seat. Good on United would be to purchase an economy plus seat, which is an economy seat with first class leg room (only offered on United). Better on any airline would be a business class seat. These seats are similar to a first class seat on a domestic flight. Best (and most expensive) would be a first class seat. These seats fully recline.
2 :
You can fly on Air NZ from LA to Sydney. Air NZ's planes are very nice now (they were refurbished a couple of years ago). The flight stops is LAX-AKL-SYD and it takes a bit longer but the seats are infinitely more comfortable than Qantas.
3 :
I'd either want to endure the entire trip in one go--from LAX--or break it up a little more evenly, via Honolulu for example. So, you could take Hawaiian Airlines straight from San Diego to Honolulu (5h, 45m), then Honolulu straight to Sydney with Jetstar Airways (10h, 35m) or Hawaiian Airways (10h, 15m). So... 16h exactly with a nice leg stretch and lunch break at HNL Airport. Shortest duration otherwise from SAN is 17h, 5m all together SAN-LAX-SYD with American/Qantas (a code-shared flight). The first option has the added benefit of being cheaper, too ($417+$785=$1202, vs. $1630 with American/Qantas). A nonstop straight from LAX to SYD only would take 14h, 30m with American/Qantas.

You need to suck it up and drive on. If the military keeps getting kinder and gentler because people like you don't think they should be yelled at then we're all screwed. Deal with the situation you put yourself in and make the best out of it.
5 :
You signed up to be government property of your own free will. Stop crying and be a man or cry to the chaplin and go home to mommy.

Sorry, but that's what you signed up for bro! They can start the yelling as soon as you sign the paper. They don't give a damn about your ego or how they make you look in front of a girl! That should be the last thing on your mind anyway.

Welcome to the Military. Just remember, that's what they do - it's a no crap sorta deal. From the moment you step off of that plane - you're theirs. lol. There is a reason for everything that they do in bootcamp. Even "screaming" at you from the moment you step off of the plane. That scenario can be comparable to being dropped off in a war zone - from the second you land in a war zone, your attention needs to be focused on the orders being given and on the dire situation around you. If you're not focused, if you don't listen, your dead. There's a reason behind everything that they do. But just remember, they're preparing you for military life - when they say jump, you jump. It's for your own good and some day it will save your butt. But your drill instructors go home to a family every night - they're just doing their job. You're there to focus on the military, not on the cute girl.

I don't. You entered boot camp on your own free will. Aren't you alreadly done with basic? And you're still whining and wanting pity??? You're going to be a real soldier soon. It's not fair- deal with it. Why would you even be worried about girls at a time like that? What? Did you think you WEREN'T in for a rude awakening???
11 :
Yeah, thats an out of line DI, if this story is true. You wait till your at the training site not in public. Anyone who knows the regulations has to agree, those who dont, well they vote me " thumbs down"
12 :
OOHRAH! Thats good trash man, you should have enjoyed those DI's while they had you.

what do you want a hug and kiss from them...you are in the military now.....suck it up and drive on!!!!

Juding from your question I can modestly say you're the worst fukcing marine ever.
15 :
Oh lock it up you guys. We all know he's right. They aren't supposed to shark attack till you are getting off the buses. Yeah doin it in public was a no-go. Dammit Marines pull the head out of the fourth point of contact. And Navy wife... your hubby never had anything like this happen to him. I know my family has had four generations of Navy. I went army, so I get ya kiddo, but they kept business at business. My DS (drill sergeants in the Army) were all professional. We knew why they were doing what they were doing, and learned to respond for a reason. He's not complaining that it happened he's asking if it was professional. I agree it wasn't.
16 :
That would suck!!! But you are a MARINE now and someday you will take so much PRIDE in that fact and look back and laugh. I'm sure that girl wasn't your future wife anyways!
17 :
If I believed this one I would agree fully since I live in San Diego and have two daughters and really don't want them having to hear that guff. But then again those guys look funny with their knuckles dragging on the ground. Nice try fella, just landed in Diego and already have access to email? I don't really think so. Better luck next time. By the way don't try the Army next time. Good luck to you.
18 :
you are such a flaming idiot, what really bothers me is your ramblings have truth to them which tells me you really were in the Marine Corps. its sad, let it go, you couldn't cut it, don't let it ruin your life.
19 :
And you call yourself a leatherneck? Are you traumatize or what? Listen up boot, the greeting is there for a reason, it has been in effect even since you wore diapers. Dont you have other important things to do, one of them to begin acting like a Marine.
20 :
Wa wa wa wa wa. Awww you were embarrassed. When should the enemy start THEIR crap? When you're ready and in place? So, you're in boot now? And on a computer? Sure. Or are you still whining about what happened BEFORE? I thought the U.S. Marines were MEN and TOUGH, not weenies who whine about being 'embarrassed.' (USN, retired 1965 - 85/in-country Viet Nam vet)
drill instructors telling us to get in line! i met a girl on the flight to san diego and the drill instructor "greeting" i recieved was quite embarrassing. the girl laughed at me! Marine drill instrucors shouldnt start their crap until we got on base. how many of u agree?

Welcome to The Corps, maggot. Drop and give me twenty!

You need to suck it up and drive on. If the military keeps getting kinder and gentler because people like you don't think they should be yelled at then we're all screwed. Deal with the situation you put yourself in and make the best out of it.

From the moment you step off of that plane - you're theirs. lol. takes 4 hr. The return flight with the wind takes 3.5 hr. If the wind speed is 40 mph , find the speed of the plane in still air. Show the equation to get the answer

The distance travelled is certainly the same in each case, call it D. You know that the distance travelled will be the speed multiplied by the time. Call the plane's speed in still air V. When you're going against the wind, the speed that the plane makes over the ground is V-40, when it's going with the wind, it will go V+40. Then you can set up two equations: D = (V-40) x 4 D = (V+40) x 3.5 You can set these two equations equal to each other and solve for V.

There is NO airport to serve commercial schedule airline in Kansas City, KS. You must go in the other side of the river in Kansas City, MO.
3 :
All airports have a 3 letter code. The Kansas city airport in Kansas is KCK -Kansas City Fairfax. Use this code when looking for flights so you do not get MO. Good LK!!
4 :
There is nothing wrong with flying into Kansas City, Missouri. Kansas City, Kansas is only a fifteen minute drive from the airport. Two airlines serve SAN and MCI nonstop and they are Midwest and Southwest. I am flying from MCI to SAN on July 1st with Midwest and I cannot wait for the flight. You can get pretty cheap flights between SAN and MCI. Mine only cost me $200.00. Can't beat that.

Are there Direct-flight from Paris to San Diego? If no, should I change local-fright at LA airport? Or in train? How long does it take from LA airport to San Diego? Teach me.

Yes Check out the details here http://www.edreams.com/flights/san+diego-paris/ Hope this helps
2 :
No, I'm afraid there aren't any airlines who operate direct flights between Paris and San Diego. The cheapest ones are with U.S.-based carriers, and they have you changing in the States (Dallas, Denver, and New York are popular spots.) So here's what you can do: you can take one of those and deal with the connection, or you can fly into Los Angeles (LAX) as you mentioned. United, Air France, Delta, and Air Tahiti Nui all operate non-stop flights from Charles de Gaulle to LAX. From there, it's about a two hour drive to San Diego; if you rent a car at the airport, it's a fairly easy journey (and it's probably easier to do that part of the trip by car, rather than train.) You could also hop on a quick flight from LAX down to San Diego (check Southwest for cheap fares), but at that point, you might as well just drive or go for the connecting flight from Paris to San Diego in the first place, since you can book it all at once. Also, do be warned that a non-stop flight will likely be more expensive than one with a connection. The choice is yours! Hope this helps -- have a wonderful trip, whatever you end up doing. And do ask if you have any more questions. --Holly

$564rt total with all taxes and fees, http://www.priceline.com -- this is NOT a bid, it's a new thing Priceline is doing, showing the total price upfront, the airline, and you choose which flight times you want. This is with USAir. All other sources I checked (and I checked hundreds via Bookingbuddy.com in about 3 minutes) were more expensive. === updated Just for kicks and grins, I compared this to suggested solution in the next answer. Their cheapest: $634.
2 :
to cut through the deals, you should check out http://www.travelcuse.com to book your trip. the site is an aggregator which means it takes offers from various online sites and shows you the best deals. good luck!

your looking to early the general rule of thumb is to purchase your tickets 8-12 weeks before depature to insure yourself the cheapest possible ticket. and since you want to fly during the holidays prices will be high.
2 :
The cheapest main-line carrier is American, which does it for about $440. The cheapest budget carrier is Southwest airlines, which has it for about $380.
3 :
Unfortunately, the holidays are always more expensive and it doesn't matter how soon you book your flights you are still going to pay more for the holiday season. It's just the way it is. I would suggest always comparing prices before booking any travel. Try this website to see if there is something that fits your budget.
