I can suffer from rage just like any other individual. I am obsessing about making my connecting flights. What do you suggest so I don't go postal? lol. Devil's Advocette...you made me smile. lol. Prof...actually taking a commuter flight from Altoona, Pa to Dulles...this is the part that scares me most...not for the size of the airplane, but the for the connecting factor. lol.

Don't bring your computer. And best wishes for a safe trip (rage- and stress-free), and a wonderful Thnaksgiving. See you back here - Sunday? Monday? Anyway, hope it will be worth it!

Smile inside knowing that during your trip you won't have to argue with me over Paglia vs. Dworkin. Have fun :-) LOL I thought it might.

If you have a type of personality where everything appears to be done on purpose for the purpose of causing discomfort to you, then there is nothing that can stop you from going into anger. The only thing you can do is try to catch it, and remove yourself from the environment so it doesn't cause others discomfort, and make you appear like, uh... an idiot. Do you usually feel it coming on? If so, just walk away. Tell yourself, it's coming..... let's go to bathroom.... have a cup of coffee... etc. Usually, rage doesn't last more than few minutes at a time. If you can successfully remove yourself during this period, then no one would ever know. Just know - something will go wrong. (and it will happen to you or to anybody) This is the busiest time of the year.

Walk quickly, but realize that your fate is in the hands of an airline, which basically means you're going to be late. Next time, pay extra and get a direct flight.

Have fun on the flights- Learn biofeedback for talking with the airline personnel. I hope none of your flights are on the 'commuter airlines'. Those things scare me. EDIT We aren't too far apart - when I travel far I have to take the commuters into Dulles to, or drive there. Don't leave the terminal at Dulles it will take forever for you to get back in.

Hard drugs. Zombify yourself thoroughly.

Estimate the total time your trip will take - be realistic. Then bring a good book that will take a little longer than that to read (assuming you know how fast you read). That way you will be in a race to finish the good book, and the day will seem to be going by too quickly. Well, sounds good in theory anyways...

Take some Xanax.

The only way you can "go postal" in an airport is to drop a letter in the mailbox. Remember that the friendly TSA folks will take your gun away before you get on the plane. : )

Don't pack anything valuable in your luggage. It will be searched and sometimes the people steal valuable items.
