How long does it take to be ready to go from an inland flight (arriving in San Diego)?
I have to pick somebody up but I'm only used to international flights, it takes at least an hour for someone from an international flight to have their bags and be on their way (LAX). How long does it take for an inland flight in San Diego? Should I be their in time or calculate an extra hour?

I say get there about 15 min after the flight lands. I use to fly in and out of San Diego and LAX all the time.

You never know, plus they may land earlier, so I suggest you to go the early you can.

Virgin America does not offer non-stop service on the SAN-SEA route -- according to their website, all trips on that particular route have a layover in San Francisco. (If a nonstop flight existed on that route, though, it would be between two and a half and three hours in length each direction.) EDIT: For the sake of accuracy, the only airline that currently offers nonstop service between San Diego and Seattle is Alaska Airlines -- no other airlines offer nonstop service on the route (Southwest has, at the very least, one-stop direct service). The non-stop flights listed by American Airlines for this route are codeshare flights operated by Alaska -- due to the Alaska/AA marketing agreement, AA sells tickets with their flight numbers on the Alaska-operated flights.

Are you sure you are not flying with American Airlines, who do fly direct to Seattle/Tacoma International Airport (SEA) from San Diego Airport (SAN). Their flight times are between 2hrs 50mins & 3hrs 03mins depending on the time you choose to fly. Virgin America flights all stop at San Francisco (SFO) and the total duration is from around 4hrs 15mins.
3 :
A non-stop flight would take about 3 hours & 15 minutes from San Diego. LAX non-stop to SEA is 2 hours & 45 minutes.
4 :
ok there are no flights from San Diego to Seattle non stop on Virgin "America" Airlines...If you choose another airline such as alaskan or Southwest it would take 2 1/2 hours...The total distance is 1038 miles....Hope this helps

According to FlightAware.com, the exact flight times is 2 hours and 21 minutes. Have a great trip!

Most flights to Hawaii from any west coast major airport are right at five and one half hours. Depending on weather you might get there a little earlier or later. This is an easy flight and I do it several times a year. have fun!!!

Long flight: San Diego to Italy, i need a long book or two to read, any suggestions
Long flight: San Diego to Italy, i need a long book or two to read, any suggestions?
I prefer fiction books. All genres, i tend to like books with futuristic plot-settings, but not limited to this at all. Anything that is interesting and will take my imagination and emotions on a journey of their own. Something that makes the time go by quickly please! I have read all of the Harry Potter books, Twilight, Hunger Games Trilogy, Percy Jackson, Lord of the rings....

Darn, I was going to suggest the hunger games, those are great books. Try Unwind by Neil Shusterman. This is a great book. Just the concept of it got me hooked on it. I'm going to leave the reading to you so I don't spoil anything. Hope this helps.
2 :
You can start with Issac Asimov, or even Frederick Forsyth. I would suggest Asimov, Robots of Dawn or Caves of Steel. They are both set in the future...

Hi Jasmine, Well, it's good you're not limited to "all genres of fiction" so why not try a book about Italy? Read about their culture, the food, the people, Italy's history and possibly learn a few words in Italian. Nothing better than being prepared for a trip to a country other than your own. -Jeeem-
4 :
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare Nevermore by Kelly Creagh Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver If you would like to see a summary and review of these book go to my teen book blog at http://www.teenbookfanatics.com/ I am also giving away an autographed copy of Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins, one of the books I mentioned, here: http://www.teenbookfanatics.com/2011/03/april-2011-autographed-book-giveaway.html
